We've modelled several systems, and several of them use different ballots. Tell us where you live in the city, and we will build a ballot for you for each option, naming real candidates who would likely appear on it. There is one ballot for ALBV and PAV, one for wards (FPTP), and a third for STV and STV+.

How the votes were counted
Under PAV your one vote is split evenly between the names you approved, so approving two gives each of them half a vote. When a candidate drops out, the ballots that named them share their weight out again among whoever is left. That repeats until only as many candidates remain as there are seats.
