One party, three ways to count it

We've modelled several systems, and several of them use different ballots. Tell us where you live in the city, and we will build a ballot for you for each option, naming real candidates who would likely appear on it. There is one ballot for ALBV and PAV, one for wards (FPTP), and a third for STV and STV+.

What to notice
At-Large Block Voting

ABC won almost twice as many seats as their vote share. Many smaller parties won no seats despite having about 10% of the vote.

Proportional Approval Voting

The seats better reflect the vote shares than with ALBV, the current system. ABC won fewer, and the extra 1.5 seats it did win came from support from related parties such as the NPA and TEAM, who didn't win enough support to take a seat of their own. Forward Together and COPE also elected councillors.
